Your Mindset and your Sense of Worthlessness

People that are depressed often feel worthless. That sense of worthlessness comes about feeling extremely desperate and hopeless. Such feelings can make us feel we are insignificant. We may also feel that nothing in the world is valuable and, as such, no one or nothing will be able to talk us out of, or help us stop feeling worthless, regardless of what we do.

However, to get to that level of worthlessness, the world does not have to change much. What changes is your desire to be creative. As long as you feel creative, you do not feel worthless because you feel you are an essential part of making your creation happen. In essence, you have a sense of purpose. If you begin to feel that your sense of creativity is waning and there is no sense of delight in any of your activities, something may start to die within you as well. You may also lose a sense of feeling unique and special and you do not know how to nurture your sense of purpose.

Unfortunately, all this negativity will continue to happen for as long as you set your mind to it. If you choose not to change your state of mind, there is nothing anyone can say or do to make that happen. As such, it is important that you start changing your mindset if you want to stop feeling miserable about your life. To change your mindset, it is best to start small. If you have an appointment today, make sure that you show up on time. By the end of the day, feel satisfied about the things that you were able to accomplish despite your lack of enthusiasm to get anything done. Continue to do this day after day.

The important thing is to get your life in order. You should not let your state of mind interfere with your ability to live a normal life. If you are able to live your life normally, you will be able to realize that the only thing wrong in your life is your state of mind. You should then make a decision as to whether you want to let your mind to continue torturing you about your lack of creativity when actually you have been creative enough to continue to live your life normally despite of it. However, as you probably know, that choice will be yours to make.
