Choosing to Fight the Battle


There are those who think that those who commit suicide do it because they want to die. However the act of suicide does not come from a desire to die. It comes from the tiredness of dealing with feelings that suck every ounce of energy from a person. This is something that not many people can understand. What is unfortunate though is that those who get blinded by the desire to end a never ending pain do not realize that although their pain will end, they will pass it on to others who care about their wellbeing.

This is where it becomes hurtful. People that are not responsible for your experience with depression, are the ones that end up paying the price. For this reason it is important to accept the challenge to endure the unbearable pain that haunts you every second. If you do that, you will experience a sense of accomplishment. Choosing to fight your battle rather than passing it on to someone else is the fair thing to do. It is true that your pain may feel unbearable. However, everyday marks a new beginning that can bring you a sense of peace and satisfaction. All you have to do is choose to live another day.
