Feelings of Worthlessness

A sense of worthlessness is always a prevalent feeling when you experience clinical depression. That sense of worthlessness comes about losing a sense of one’s own worth. As the sense of worthlessness deepens, the biggest challenge is finding a sense purpose. You may not feel like doing anything to reward yourself, but the good news is that people that feel depressed usually feel that they should be doing good to other people. If you feel like you want to do good for other people, then you can use that to find a sense of purpose. If you are not a people person, then find something that you feel gives you a sense of satisfaction. Whether you take time to take care of people or pets, or get involved in small projects, or a hobby, the more good you do the more you will feel a sense of respect and pride. Along with that you may be able to experience a sense of self-worth.
