Unleashing Your Potential

I really believe that everyone is born with the potential to be successful. The difference is that while some of us succeed by doing the things that we need to do, others spend their time questioning whether by doing what they are supposed to do will actually help them get there.

The decision to take action is rooted in our beliefs. Those who believe that nothing could stop them from achieving their goals will get there while those who question it may not. Believing that you can be successful, however, is the key to achieving that goal. When you believe in yourself, and you have no doubts that it is possible, you become persistent. You also look passed your setbacks. Instead of looking at them as threats, you see them as opportunities to retool your approach and you do not entertain, for one second, the possibility of failure. As I have said before, you don’t fail in life unless you give up.

You need to believe in your potential because, when you do, it becomes easier to craft a plan of action that is promising and very flexible. For the plan to be flexible the means to achieving success need to vary with the circumstances and the environment.

You also need to remain confident that you can succeed even when everyone around you is telling you that you do not stand a chance.

To unleash your potential, you must be willing to accept rejection, you must agree to deal with emotional pain, work hard, even when things look hopeless, and look at disappointments as opportunities to make things better. This is in fact why those who do what they need to do to succeed become successful while those who don’t may never do.
